I believe what you wrote was very logical. However, think on this, what if you were to write a killer headline? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your website, however what if you added a post title to possibly grab folk's attention? I mean BLOG_TITLE is kinda boring. You should glance at Yahoo's home page and watch how they write news titles to grab viewers to click. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to grab readers excited about everything've written. Just my opinion, it could bring your website a little bit more interesting.
