  I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own blog and
  was wondering what all is required to get setup?
  I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
  
  I'm not very internet smart so I'm not 100% sure.
  Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  is kinda vanilla. You might peek at Yahoo's front page and watch how
  they create post headlines to get viewers to open the links.
  You might add a video or a related picture or two to grab people interested about
  what you've written. Just my opinion, it might make your website a little bit more interesting.
